I've also written some documents ('Theories', if you will) about some of the
concepts of our game. You can find them here.
System Requirements:
To be written... This will eventually contain information regarding
the requirements that your computer needs to meet to play Ruling Wars.

Rules/Regulations
There are some rules (not the empires) that need to be followed in this
game. First of all, you must realize that this game will take years of
work and a lot of preparation to make, so please don't pirate this game.
Also, since the game is a free download, please don't sell copies to
people. If they have an internet connection, then they can get the game
themselves for free.
Now with that out of the way, we can focus on in-game rules. Please
don't share your password and/or login information with other people.
This is just for safety reasons. We don't want other people to have access
to your personal information. Being that this game involves interaction
with real people, we expect you to behave in a polite and curtious manner.
That means no profanity, no slandering, no stalking (unless directed
by an in-game mission), no threatening, and other offensive conduct.
If an administrator hears of such an incident, we will give you a warning
and you will have faction standing taken away. If it happens repeatedly,
your account will become inactive for a month. You can, however, snipe,
shoot, fight, steal, vandalize, hunt down people, start riots and rebellions,
challenge other players, etc. However, this lowers your faction standing
if you get caught. If you plunge too far into crime, bounty hunters will
hunt you down and kill you. There will also be missions created for players
to come and hunt you down. Your name will appear in red when
you are officially fair game for other players. Any player that kills
you will
get faction
standing from everyone and you will lose some of yours. Otherwise, your
name will appear in green for all other players
in your Rule. For players
from other Rules, your name will appear as yellow.

In-Game Play
This game will be similar to Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided and World
of Warcraft in
most respects, but quite different in others. The similarities will mostly
include graphics, and the fact that this is a massively-multiplayer game.
The differences will be the things that you will be able to do. The point of
the
game is, basically, to dominate over the other Rules. So, you can pillage
and plunder and stuff, but it'll be at your own risk. Enemies can smite
you on site (if PvP is turned on), your
faction standing will go down if you kill a Rule's property... For example,
say that
you
walk into an Elite Rule spaceport, and you drop a bomb and the building
is leveled... Well, that'll get you faction standing with the Rule that
you belong to, but other Rules and especially the Elite Rule will send
out everyone they have to terminate you. And, if someone leaves their
vehicle out and is not present to watch it, you may steal it (if you are 'Bandit'
qualified, but, again, at your own risk. If the owner finds out that you stole
it, he or she
can file a report with the authorities, and they will issue a decree
that lets other players kill you on site. Once again, your name will
appear in red and players will know that you are
a 'declared' criminal. Some 'government' officials in all of the Rules will
be somewhat
corrupted, so if you give them an item that you steal, then you get mega
faction standing with that Rule (mega=250 faction standing).
Unlike Star Wars Galaxies, however, faction standing will only give
you the abilities to learn more skills. You won't be able to buy items
with faction standing, you will be able to learn new skills for every
500 faction standing you earn.
Now, there will also be personal cargo ships in the game, and if you
don't have the money for a inter-planetary trip, and you don't have a
ship of your own, then you can stowaway in someone else's ship. There
is a catch though, if the owner of the ship finds you, or if an official
finds you hidden aboard the ship, then the automatic weapons system on
the ship will engage and you will have a hard time getting away without
getting killed. That's only if you stow away though. You can bum rides
from people if you want.
More to come as I add it :)

Licensing and Registering with Us
We don't currently have a page set up where you can register with us,
but we will have a MUD (Multi User Dimension, which is basically an online,
text-based game in which characters can interact with each other) set
up soon so that you can get a feel for what the game will eventually
be (we call it a 'trial' version). Actually, scrap that, it's not gonna happen
any time soon.
